The Band

BAXTALO DROM is a band formed by Diego Araoz with musicians that share the interest and the pleasure for the sound and the style of the Quintet of the Hot Club Of France of Django Reinhardt that gave origin to the Gypsy Jazz.

With a basic formation of vocalist ( Laura Toro ), saxophone (Javier Porras), guitar ( Diego Araoz ), and a stringbass ( Gerardo Ramos ) they entertain to the audience with their versions and improvisations. They explore to the maximum all the possibilities of those instruments in its rhythmic, harmonic and melodic facets.

They recover old Jazz standards and compositions of authors like Django Reinhardt, Duke Ellington and includes versions of singers and guitarists like Oscar Aleman and Ella Fitzgerald...

Their repertoire includes:
"Minor Swing", "You Made Me Love You", "Flamingo", "Stormy Weather", "Si Tu Savais", "Nobody's Sweetheart", "Right Or Wrong", "I'm Gettin' Sentimental Over You", "Dinah", "Anouman"... etc.
